Embroidery is the go-to finish for uniforms and corporate wear. The logo is stitched directly into the garment with coloured thread, so it won't crack, peel or fade like some prints can. It gives a raised, textured look that feels premium, which is why businesses, schools, clubs and churches choose it for golf shirts, caps, jackets, hoodies, beanies and workwear.

Request a quote with your quantity and artwork using the form on this page. Tell us the garments, colours and where the logo should go. If you have a long staff or team list, upload your list in Excel, Word, PDF or a photo, and we'll quote it back by email with Accept online and pay buttons.

How embroidery works

Before stitching, your logo is converted into an embroidery file that tells the machine where each stitch goes, which thread colour to use and in which order. This step is called digitising. A clean, well-digitised file is the difference between a crisp logo and a fuzzy one. Once the file is ready, we stitch a proof position and send you a digital proof for approval before running the full order.

What embroiders well

Embroidery suits most logos, but some designs need adjustment for thread:

  • Bold shapes and clear lettering stitch cleanly
  • Very small text, under a few millimetres tall, can fill in
  • Thin lines may need thickening
  • Photos and soft gradients can't be reproduced in thread
  • A limited number of thread colours gives the neatest result

Garments we embroider

We embroider golf shirts, corporate uniforms, caps, beanies, hoodies, sweaters, jackets and workwear. Common positions are the left chest, right chest, sleeve, back yoke and cap front. If your logo includes full-colour detail that thread can't capture, we'll suggest DTF printing as an alternative or for a second position.

Preparing your artwork

Send your logo as a vector file, such as PDF, AI, EPS or SVG, or as a high-resolution PNG. Include your thread colour references if exact brand colours matter. If you only have a low-quality logo, our design services team can redraw it before digitising. Keep your proof approval quick so production can start.

Turnaround and delivery

Turnaround depends on garment stock, stitch count and quantity, and it's confirmed on your quote. Collect free from our Rivonia store, get free delivery within 15 km of the store (the checkout checks your address), or choose courier delivery anywhere in South Africa through The Courier Guy, Pudo lockers, PostNet, Aramex or Paxi, priced by parcel weight.

Common questions

Is embroidery more durable than print?

Generally, yes. Embroidery is stitched into the fabric and holds up well through repeated washing and hard wear, which is why it's preferred for uniforms. Prints last well too, but embroidery keeps its look the longest on work garments.

Why does my logo need digitising?

An embroidery machine can't read a normal image file. Digitising converts your logo into stitch paths, directions and thread colours. A good digitised file makes small text and edges look sharp, and it's kept on file for reorders.

Can you embroider names on individual garments?

Yes. Names can be added under a logo or on the sleeve. Send a list with each name and garment size, and check spelling carefully, as names are stitched exactly as approved on the proof.

Can I supply my own garments?

Mention it on your quote request. We'll check whether the fabric suits embroidery, as very thin, stretchy or coated fabrics can pucker. For the most reliable result, we recommend garments we supply.
