These terms explain how same-day and 24-hour printing work at Rush My Prints, so you can plan your deadline with confidence. They sit alongside our general terms and conditions and apply whenever you choose a same-day or 24-hour turnaround online or on a quote. They are written in plain language and are not legal advice.
In short: rush turnaround depends on cleared payment and approved, press-ready artwork reaching us in time. Same-day is a priority attempt rather than a guarantee and is collection only from our Rivonia store. 24-hour printing is available on many products, confirmed at checkout or on your quote. Other turnarounds are confirmed on the order or quote.
1. Same-day printing
Same-day printing is available on flyers, business cards, posters, pull-up, X and PVC banners, DTF or vinyl T-shirts on stock garments, booklets, NCR books and stationery.
- Cleared payment and approved press-ready artwork must reach us by 09:00 on a business day
- Same-day orders are collection only from our Rivonia store
- Same-day is a priority attempt, not a guarantee
- Orders missing the cut-off move to the next business day
- Business days are Monday to Friday; hours are 08:30 to 17:00
2. 24-hour printing
24-hour printing is available on many products. Whether it applies to your product, options and quantity is confirmed at checkout or on your quote. The 24 hours run from receipt of cleared payment and approved, press-ready artwork, and cover production only. Collection, local delivery or courier delivery follows production.
3. Payment
Rush turnaround starts only once payment has cleared. Paying online by card or instant EFT through PayFast or Yoco is the fastest way to clear payment.
- Orders under R5 000: pay in full before production
- Orders of R5 000 or more: pay a 65% deposit, or in full, before production
- Any balance must be paid before collection or dispatch
4. Artwork and proofs
Artwork must be press-ready: PDF, AI, EPS, SVG or high-resolution PNG or JPG, with 3 mm bleed on printed items (see artwork guidelines). We send a digital proof before production. The clock does not start until you approve it. Once you approve a proof, you are responsible for spelling, wording and details. Colours on screen may differ slightly from print. If a file needs fixing or design work, the job may no longer make a rush slot, and we will tell you.
5. When we can't meet a rush deadline
If equipment, stock or volume prevents us from completing a rush order on time, we contact you as soon as we know and complete it as early as possible. If we miss a confirmed rush turnaround through our own fault, we will discuss a fair remedy with you, in line with the Consumer Protection Act. Personalised or printed items are not returnable unless faulty or our error.
Common questions
What happens if I miss the 09:00 cut-off?
Your order moves to the next business day's same-day queue, or to the turnaround confirmed at checkout. We let you know if anything changes. The cut-off applies to both cleared payment and approved artwork.
Can a same-day order be couriered?
No. Same-day orders are collection only from our Rivonia store during business hours, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00. If you need delivery, choose a 24-hour or standard order and select courier delivery at checkout.
Do rush orders need full payment?
Payment rules are the same as all orders. Orders under R5 000 are paid in full before production. Orders of R5 000 or more need a 65% deposit, or full payment, before production starts.
What if my artwork has a problem?
We flag it on your proof. You can send a corrected file, ask us to fix it, or approve it as is. The rush clock starts only once you approve the proof, so a delay in fixing artwork can move the job to a later slot.
